For my eResume and Cover Letter, I actually applied to one of the internships I posted on the Application assignment we had previously. Below are what I sent to them after using my resources for this class:
Julia Faith Wilde
1397 Lincoln Street
Salt Lake City, UT 84105
603-809-9972
To Whom it may concern,
My name is Julia Wilde and I am attending my last semester at Salt Lake Community College's Fashion Institute. Since before I started my college education in Fashion Design and Merchandising I have loved the brands La Jolla represents, the lifestyle it fuels, and the products it manufactures. Throughout my job experience I have always hoped to apply and be considered for an internship with your company. I feel through my education and years of job experience in the outdoor industry I have arrived at a position where I can confidently view the Product Developer internship opportunity as a match.
I understand that your department must receive hundreds of applications from interested candidates, so I wanted to reach out to ask more about the PD internship while resumes are reviewed. I was unable to find information on Malakye's posting that stated when it would start, and how long it lasted. If you could provide me with that information in the meanwhile that would be greatly appreciated.
Again, I understand the huge quantity of resumes received, and hope that you will consider me a strong candidate for the production internship. I am tenacious, hardworking, and will be graduating Fashion Design and Merchandising on Dean's list. Before I continue my education further I would love for this amazing opportunity with La Jolla and gain experience as a Product Developer. I currently intern one day a week with the Black Diamond Apparel department and have learned the basics of conceptualization to finished garment, and I would love to learn even more through the intern position at La Jolla. I have attached my resume for review and am able to supply reference from Lauri Hawkins, currently Head Developer at Black Diamond Equipment, LTD, and Whitney Thomas, quality assurance engineer at Black Diamond Equipment, LTD.
I sincerely thank you for your time, and listed below is the direct link to my eResume.
